CHANGING TO CARS
LONDON.
The Italian Giacomo Agostini, eight times world motor-cycle champion is to start car racing next year. He said after winning two events at an international meeting at Oulton Park yesterday: “I cannot ignore the challenge of cars any longer, so next season I will definitely go on four wheels.”
He said he had received car racing offers from teams in both Italy and England. He will follow the' same path as the British grand prix driver; John Surtees, who turned to car racing after winning the world motor-cycle title four times and has since become the only man to win'both the motor racing and motor-cyc-ling world championships.
