"Secretary Bird” Competition

_• A “secretary bird”, according to the dictionary, is a gangly-legged bird of prey from South .Africa, with a hooked beak and a depressed cfest, that lives on snakes and lizards. But a “secretary bird” can also be that young, pretty, wfell-groomed model of efficiency that works in any office. Starting today, “The Press” is-looking for the best of the second type in an exciting new contest being organised in conjunction with the Harry M'. Miller Attractions’ presentation of the comedy hit, “The Secretary Bird," which will open for a season at the Theatre Royal on Monday, September 21. Patrick Macnee—the dashing star of “The Avengers” series on television —stars in “The Secretary Bird” and will be the judge of the six finalists. Do you have a girl in your office who is definitely “Secretary Bird” material? Send' us her photograph or, if a! photograph is not available, telephone Mrs P. j Starting on September 11 a ■ daily selection of entrants’ photographs will be published. The names of the six finalists will be announced on September 18 and Patrick Macnee will choose the likeliest “secretary bird” from their photographs. The contest winner will receive tickets for two as a special guest at the opening night of “The Secretary Bird” and an invitation to attend an after-show function where she will meet Patrick Macnee. She will also have the use of a .car for the evening.
