Parliament’s Diary
Four more petitions asking for increased spending on education were presented when Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon. Also tabled were the corrected statistics on the General Election, and the annual report of the Porirua Licensing Trust. Ministers answered 14 questions. Urgency was then taken on the second-reading debate on the Payroll Tax Bill, and the House settled in for another late sitting.
