Bulldozer Fatality
fJV.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Sept. 2. A 20-year-old farmhand was found dead, pinned beneath a bulldozer, on Pakira station, about 15 miles inland from Hick’s Bay, by a local search-party at approximately 8 p.m. yesterday. He was William Russell Brown, single, of Toiaga Bay.
Mr Brown had been driving the bulldozer, forming a new road on the station. When he failed to appear for an evening meal, a search was 1 started.
The Ruatoria police station said that the bulldozer had gone over a 30-foot bank, coming to rest on top of Mr Brown. His body was found in about three feet of water.
