FASHIONS CHAIN
Estelle Rose Takes Over
Twelve fashion shops in South Island cities—the Garron Group—have been taken over by Estelle Rose, Ltd, of Auckland. The three shops of the chain in Christchurch are Judy Anne. Regent Gowns and Miss Rome. Estelle Rose already owns 11 fashion stores in Auckland city and suburbs, and with this latest take-over will have a chain of 23 shops. Mr S. I. Rose, the manag-ing-director, plans to develop nation-wide his fashion-trad-ing policy which has proved so successful in Auckland. Basically, this policy ensures that New Zealand has the best in overseas fashion trends while they are still fresh in Europe, Australia and the United States. To achieve this Estelle Rose management travel the world to keep abreast with the trends as they emerge each season. These are then worked on by skilled designers in the new Estblle Rose head office and factory at Panmure, in Auckland’s eastern suburbs.
