WELLINGTON, Sept 2.
The unaudited net profit of NMA Company of New Zealand, Ltd, rose about $170,000 or 12.2 per cent to §1,560,000 in the year to June 30. Taxation provision amounted to $1,490,000 compared with $1,515,000 in 1969. The company received $42,000 from the sale of surplus assets whereas in the previous year it derived $797,000 from this source.
The directors recommend a final dividend of 81 per cent, payable in sterling on November 17, 1970. This payment maintains an annual rate at 12J per cent, and will absorb $740,000, leaving retained profits of $886,000.
