Lindis Pass Open
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 2. The Lindis Pass road, which was closed on Sunday after floodwaters swept away a bridge at Lindis Crossing, was reopened today by the Ministry of Works. The section between Loburn and Tarras is still closed and motorists are required to use a detour through the Ardgour Valley. The Automobile Association has warned that extreme care is required on the road. Ministry of works staff have erected a Bailey bridge across the Lindis River at Dalrachnie. It is expected that the Lindis Crossing bridge will be replaced within a few days.
