Teams’ Table Tennis Won By Otago

(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA. Otago has won the A grade men’s Inter-association teams* event at the New Zealand table tennis championships. It is the first time in 22 years that a South Island team has taken the title.

Otago clinched it with an 8-3 victory over Auckland last night in the last of its five matches. It was unbeaten. The New Zealand, champion, A. Tomlinson (Auckland) suffered his only two losses during the team's contests. He was beaten by Yik Chun Kwong and G. Murphy. Other teams* championships resulted:— Men.—B grade: Northland.
