Russia Finds Gold
(N.Z.PA.-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, Sept 1. A large gold deposit has been discovered on the Kola Peninsula in north-western Russia, Tass reported on Monday. The official news agency said that Soviet scientists believed the find “resembles the world's major gold deposits.” The Kola Peninsula extends for 373 miles into the Barents Sea and shares a 746mile border with Finland.
