SHEEP AND GOATS
Barbers Refuse Services (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copgright) KARACHI, August 24. Karachi barbers have refused to cut the hair of sheep, goats and water buffalo. And the Pakistani National Hairdressers’ Federation has backed them, saying clipping the hair of beasts was “an insult to the honourable art of hairdressing.” The federation said that it might begin a nation-wide: campaign to protest about the treatment of barbers in some remote villages. It said some barbers had been “boycotted and even expelled from those areas for refusing to shave sheep, goats and even water buffaloes."
