' RUGBY TEST Poor David Tennent being hauled over the coals for making a light-hearted remark about our sacred sport It was rather naughty, David, as you ought to know by now that
the thin-skinned Kiwi cannot bear any adyerse comment light-hearted or otherwise, about his national game. He doesn't seem to realise that half the world has not even heard of the All Blacks and a lot more like myself could not care less whether they do well or not I do hope our announcers will continue to treat us to the occasional bright remark. There are still some of us left who can recognise a joke when we hear it.—ANTI-GLOOM (Ashburton). [Subject to the right- of reply of “Sports Fan,” this correspondence is closed.]
