Boy Drowned In Creek
fIV-Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 23. A young boy was drowned when he fell into a creek near the Manukau golf course, Manurewa, this afternoon. He was John Fenton Ruapara, aged 6, j of Seals Road, Manurewa. Police said the boy was playing with several others near the creek. He swung out over the water on a rope "and fell into the creek. A team of Navy divers found his body after a 30minute search.
