LINK WITH KAIAPOI
Among the names of winners of stakes in England this season is that of Obelisk, which is closely related to the Kalapoi sire, Orbiter.
This filly, which was successful in the Nell Gwynn Stakes, over one mile and restricted to three-year-old fillies, at Newmarket. carried Sst 111 b to a two-length victory. The topweight, Farfalla, carried Sst 51b and was two lengths and threequarters behind in third place. Heatherdown, Sst 61b, was second
Obelisk, by Abernant, is out of Reylvre, a half-sister by Never Say Die, to Orbiter. Their dam, La Montespan, was by Tantieme out of Donata Bordi, a half-sister to Donatello 11.
