“The Frees" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. One of the fastest little horses in the country made her way to the Woodville Racecourse on Thursday for a bit of a sprint, but stable attendants persuaded her to return home instead. Weenell, in foal to Pakistan 11, could not bear to see her former stablemates off for their fast work, so the first chance she got, she slipped through a gate and set off on her own. The only mistake she made was stopping half-way for a nibble of grass in the railway yards, and this is where the stable boys picked her up. Weenell is one of the besttempered horses ever trained at Woodville. In fact, one night when she was in full work* her trainer, S. A Brown, was telling house guests how small she was, and he brought her inside to the livingroom, just to show them.
