Wages and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the N.Z. Harbour Boards Employees’ Award. The earnings for a guaranteed 45-hour week are $63.71 and additional overtime is regularly available. Rates of pay for a fully qualified electrician (or electrical fitter) or indentured tradesman are as follows: First year $51.66 per 40 hour week. Second year $52.46 per 40 hour week. Thereafter by discretion of the Department and depending upon ability and willingness to take added responsibility to: Senior Substation Technician at $54.66 and Leading Substation Technician at $55.74. Regular overtime of i hour per day raises tt\e above basic rates by approximately $4 per week. Additional benefits and allowances include: A wet weather clothing allowance.
