The appointee will also be required to undertake overall responsibility for the Department’s Statistics Section and represent the Department at wage negotiations between State employer and employee organisations. Qualifications desired: a degree in economics or mathematics or similar relevant qualification; ability to guide the work of others: some knowledge of EDP and statistical method would be an advantage. Salary up to $4908 or $5217 according to qualifications and experience with opportunity to progress, on merit, to $5521.
