Rejection By Senate (N.Z.P.A.-Keuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 19. President Nixon’s veto was rejected by. Congress for the second time in his 19-month Administration yesterday when the Senate approved a politically popular Federal aid to education bill. The Senate overrode Mr Nixon’s veto by the necessary two-thirds majority, follow, ing the example of the House of Representatives, which passed the $4400 million bill last week by 289 votes to 114. The Senate vote was an overwhelming 77 to 16. President Nixon had vetoed the bill because it was $453m above his budget request, claiming it was inflationary. But the wto met the same fate as the President’s rejection of an inflated money bill for construction of new hosin June.
