Aust. Ombudsmen
The Government of South Australia is to have an ombudsman to act on complaints referred to him by members of the state Parliament. The commissioner will have the power to inspect official files and to report to Parliament on the results, but will not be a member of Parliament. Tasmania has already drawn up legislation to establish an ombudsman. — Adelaide, Aug. 21.
