NEW ZEALAND MARKET WEAK ON LOWER TURNOVER

Share prices were generally lower on a weak. New Zealand market yesterday. Falls again outnumbered rises by more than three to one. Turnover declined to about average.

Second-line stocks which stood out among the rises were Associated Group Securities, which rose 5c to 135 c, and Medical Chambers, which gained 10c to 380 c. A. Harvey, at 462 c, and N.Z. Forest Products, at 415 c, were a little higher.

Feltex began to feel the weight of sellers, losing 10c to 400 c. Dominion Breweries and N.Z. Breweries lost lc each. Mining and oil stocks lost ground as confidence ebbed.
