TAYLOR LTD Department of Agriculture BACTERIAL BLIGHT OF PEAS The Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications in writing from growers and merchants to have paddocks of field peas inspected for the presence of Bacterial Blight. Application forms are available either from the Department .of Agriculture or from grain and seed merchants. Provision is made for the following information to be supplied: 1: Name and address of grower. 2: Registered number and paddock letter of area. <• r» 3: Variety. 4: Acreage. 5: Date sown (month and day if possible). 6: Origin of seed (shown on tags). 7: Whether the produce from this crop is for seed purposes. 8: Crops grown in area in last three years. Tags from the sacks containing the seed used to sow the area should be submitted with the application as evidence of the seed origin. Applications should ba in the hands of the local Department of Agriculture office no later than the Ist September in the case of Autumn sown crops, or no later than the Ist November in the case of Spring sown crops.
