The minimum educational standard required is the University Entrance Examination and preferably the applicant should be sitting the Bursary Examinations this year. Applicants should be prepared to take the University Course for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) commencing in March 1971. After graduation, the successful applicant will be appointed to the Board’s staff as a graduate engineer. Consideration will be given to applicants who have already commenced a University Course. The Board is prepared to provide financial assistance to attend University by way of a bursary of $5OO in the first year and $560 in each of the following three years. In addition the successful applicant would be employed on the Board’s staff during vacations and the commencing Award rate is at present $29.35 per week.
