Established Miners And Industrials Advance

Established miners held up well while oils were mixed and in* dustrials firm, on Australian stock exchanges yesterday. Speculative and mining shares fell back after a very firm opening. Tasminex dominated trading throughout the day, racing up to 900 c before falling back to close 40c down at 770 c. Beach and United Petroleum were active firming 30c and 10c respectively. . Mt Isa and C.R.A. both advanced 30c. Hamersley, Peko, B.H.Sth and New Broken Hill all firmed 20c, while Mt Lyell gained the same amount after its report North Broken Hill, moved up 60c and was well supported. Minerals Securities was an

exception, failing to hold all of its gains. Industrials continued firm. B.H.P. finished a marginal 5c higher. The Bank of N.S.W. was in keen demand jumping 30c to 710 c. A.N.Z.
