Minops Finds Ore Lode

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 28. Amalgamated Petroleum N.L., Apollo International Minerals N.L. and Timor Oil, Ltd, have intersected a mineralised zone south of the main fault on their Oonah prospect, in Tasmania. Minops Pty, Ltd, operator for the consortium reported that diamond drilling south of the main fault intersected a lode 25ft wide and assaying an average of 1.8 per cent copper, 0B per cent tin and 5.40 z a ton of silver. The lode was discovered at a depth of 575 vertical feet, and directors say narrow sections within the ore body contained much higher metal values. Another two diamond drill holes have been started north and south of the fault to test further extensions of the lode.
