“FANTASTIC SUCCESS”
Maori Theatre In Moscow (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, July 26. The New Zealand Maori Theatre is enjoying “fantastic success” in Moscow, according to the director of the theatre trust (Mr P. M. Love). He said this in Rotorua yesterday after receiving a telephone call from the tour director, Mr D. Peterson. Mr Love, who is in Rotorua for the National Party conference, said the company had received overwhelming hospitality from the Russians Its Maori cultural presentation had met with an unexpected demand, and the Russian Gosconcert organisation was making last-minute arrangements to obtain large capacity halls in Leningrad and Kiev—the next two concert venues.
“AH members of the cast are enjoying the totally new experience of playing to a European audience in this first presentation of Polyne sian culture in Eastern Europe,” Mr Love said
