Okker, captured *k* women's and men's singles titles in the Midland open lawn tennis tournament at Leicester on Saturday. Okker scored a 61, 10-8 win over the British Wimbledon semi-finalist, R. Taylor, while Miss Goolagong beat the American P. Hogan, 8-2, 6-2, to round off her English tour with her third title In successive weeks. Okker eeslly won the first set against Taylor after twice breaking the left-handed Englishman'! serve, but the second set was a much closer affair Taylor fought off three match points In the fourteenth game, lost his service In the seventeenth, end then saved four more match points in the eighteenth game before losing. In the all-Australlan women's doubles final. Misses P. Edwards and Coolagong beat Mrs Dalton and Miss Melville, 7-5. 5-7. 6-3. The men's doubles fine! was won by Drysdale (South Africa) and Taylor (Britain), who beat W Bowrey and Davidson. 7-5. 6-3.
