The Merv Gibson Trophy, run tn two divisions over the open distance of 170 yards, was the main race at « meeting ot the Christchurch Greyhound Boeing Club at Prestons Rood on Sunday. The first division was won by Dominique (G Kingston). Dominique was slow early, moved up in the back etratght. and maatered Sloop In the run home to win by half a length Still a young dot. Sloop would appear to have a bright future tn distance races. The second division developed into a race between two dogs— Windjammer and Rockdale Windjammer started smartly but Rockdale challenged In the back straight and came away to win by two lengths tn the fast time of Msec.
