Coastal Marlborough and Canterbury.— South-west winds, strong in some exposed coastal placed and fresh at times elsewhere; changeable and cold, with showers; snow above about 2000 ft. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds, mainly southerlies; a few scattered showers about the ranges, but long fine periods elsewhere; cool. Outlook: south-west conditions, with variable skies and scattered showers.
