Auckland Title To A. G. Pyne
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Auckland cross-country championship was won in great style on Saturday afternoon by A. G. Pyne, in a time of 39min 15sec. Last year’s Auckland junior champion, M. Simmons, was second, 200 yd behind Pyne, and R. Batten third.
The favourite, D. G. Sirl, faded early and finished sixth.
