[ PUBLIC NOTICES ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL DOCTOR S SURGERY LOAN, 1970 114,000 IT IS HEREBY publicly notified that the Ellesmere County Council, at a Special Meeting of the Council held in the Council Chambers, Leeston, on MONDAY, JULY 20, 1970, passed the following resolution: THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Counties Act, 1956,” “The Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,’' and all amendments thereto and any other acts in that behalf enabling the Ellesmere Countiy Council, by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities’ Loans Board, granted at a meeting of the Board held on JUNE 22, 1970, does hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows: 1. That the Ellesmere County Council proceed to raise a loan of $14,000 for the purpose of building a double unit Doctors’ Surgery in Leeston. 2. That such loan be known as the Doctors’ Surgery Loan, 1970. 3. That the term for which the said loan or any part : thereof may be borrowed shall be twenty years. 4. That the rate of interest : that may be paid in respect 1 of the said loan or any • part thereof shall be such r as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or > rates exceeding 5.75 per centum per annum. 5. That the said loan or any fiart thereof, together with , nterest thereon, shall be j repaid by equal aggregate . annual or half-yearly instalments extending over ; the term of the loan, namely twenty years. 6. That the payments of all < such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 7. That the commission or fees that may be paid in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part / thereof be as follows: (a) Brokerage not exceed- . ing one half per cent of the amount raised. (b) Underwriting commission or fees not exceeding one half per cent of the amount under- j written. (c) A placement fee not exceeding three-quarters per cent in respect of a placement by a single tender of $20,000 or J more provided no placement fee shall be payable in respect of an underwritten issue or

any part thereof. Except as aforesaid, no procuration fees or other fees or commission of a similar nature shall be paid and no discount shall be allowed to any lender in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof. 8. That the security, for the repayment of the said loan and charges thereon shall be a special rate of decimal nought nought two three two of a cent (00232) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (On the basis of the Capital Value) of all rateable property in the County of Ellesmere 9. That no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after "the expiration of three years from the date hereof.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities’ Loans Act, 1956. it is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to the Ordinary Meeting of the Ellesmere County Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Leeston. at 10.30 a.m. on MONDAY, AUGUST 17. 1970, for confirmation as a Special Order.

It is hereby further publicly notified that a Poll of Ratepayers is required to be taken if five per cent of the Ratepayers of the Ellesmere County so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution.
