Record Time For Relay
The Australian 4 x 200 metres men’s freestyle swimming team set a world record in winning the Games gold medal. Its time was 7min 50.775ec. The previous best, 7min 52.35ec, was set by the United States gold medal-winning team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The quartet was Greg Rogers, Bill Devenish, Graham White and Michael Wenden.
