Motel Accepts Workers’ Claim
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 26. An Auckland tourist house, Cassels Motel, of Remuera, has accepted the hotel workers’ claim for a 30 per cent interim pay rise, and its staff returned to work over the week-end. This brings the number of employers in Auckland who have accepted the claim to four. The others are the Birkenhead Inn, a trust hotel, and two Hotel Association hotels—the Alexandra, Parnell, and the Empire, Victoria Street West,
