Soldier Killed
A young soldier was fatally injured when he was struck by a car while he was jogging on the Burnham-Aylesbury Road about 2.25 p.m. yesterday. His name was not released by the Army last evening because his next-of-kin had not been notified. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital in the Burnham Camp ambulance. He died at 6.25 p.m. The car was driven by John Owen Burford, of Nelson Street, Greymouth.
