$250 From Dances A gift of $250 was received recently by the Christchurch office of C.0.R.5.0. frOm members of the Zone 2 Dance Committee at Spreydon. The money, which is the proceeds of several dances held by the committee, will be used to support the work being done by the Shramadana Movement, a co-operative youth movement in Ceylon. The district organiser for C.0.R.5.0. (Mr R. H. French) said that a gift of $l6 had also been received from the Association of Representatives of the A.M.P. Society. Education Week Education Week activities for today are: Displays as for yesterday will continue all the week; “Maths for Mums,” Horticultural Hall, 11 a.m and 2 p.m.; Kindergarten for Shoppers, Northlands Mall, 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; Christchurch Civic Orchestra, Civic Theatre, 12 noon and 1.10 p.m.; “Maori Education,” forum at Teachers’ College, Peterborough Street, 7.30 p.m.; Music Festival, Mairehau High School Hall, combined schools programme in the evening; Christchurch Teachers’ College, open day, 10 a.m to noon, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 6.45 p.m to 9 p.m.; Forum, Ashburton College Hall, 8 p.m.
