A family affair
'THE Trafalgar Harrier Club, Nelson, was represented by a talented group of young harriers in the Jane Patterson Trophy race at Motukarara last Saturday. Outstanding among the visitors were a brother and sister, Terry and Kathy McHugh, above. Their diminutive stature belied their ability. Already a veteran of major competion, Kathy, 18, sft tall, and fist 71b, dominated the senior women's race. Still talking casually to the strongest of her Christ-

Miss McHugh competed in the women’s international championships when she toured with the New Zealand women's team organised by the Ladies Pioneer Club, of Christchurch, early last year. Aged 11 and only 4ft tall and weighing 4st 71b, Terry was an even more convincing winner of the juniqr colts’ race in 13min 4sec, 34sec clear and 70sec faster than his sister. a.
