This recently established and expanding department offers degrees at bachelor s, master s and doctoral levels in chemical engineering and materials engineering. Current research interests in the department lie in the fields of electrochemistry (including gaseous electrochemistry), fluid dynamics (especially two-phase flow of pulp suspensions), mechanical behaviour of materials (more especially metals), and electron microscopy (primarily of metals). The department is interested in extending its range of research activities into other fields of chemical and materials engineering, in particular, but not solely, chemical engineering design, particle dynamics, heat and mass transfer, process control. It has recently taken possession of new laboraties and is well advanced in a programme of equipping these. POLITICAL STUDIES Closing date August 7, 1970. Provision has been made for an especially well qualified applicant to be considered for appointment as an Associate Professor. Candidates should state fully their general teaching qualifications and special interests.
