S CHRISTIAN FAITH CENTRE MINISTRY (INTER-DENOMINATIONAL AND MISSIONARY) “SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AND RENEWAL IS TAKING PLACE IN THE CHURCHES.” Hear REV. DAVID EDMONDS just returned from seven weeks of Ministry and fellowship in Canada and U.S.A. He gives first hand information of Renewal and Revival in Presbyterian, Episcopal (Anglican), Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Reformed, Methodist and many other denominations, also InterChurch Renewal activities and Christian Youth Outreach Christians should be encouraged by what God is doing in His Church. He also gives warnings about excesses in manifestations, casting out of demons, tongues speaking and so called gifts of the Spirit, and exaggerated use of the Scriptures. which have infiltrated many revival groups. He returns to U.S.A, about the middle of August to attend a nation wide Convocation of United Methodists for the Recovery of Scriptural Evangelical Christianity, and to continue for a further few weeks of ministry in churches where renewal is taking place. You Will be welcome at services this Sunday at “Bethesda,” 23 Eversleigh Street (off Springfield Road) at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Also at a MEETING NEXT WEDNESDAY, July 22, in Knox Church Lounge, Bealey Avenue, at 7.30 p.m. Chairman: Major Ronald B. Knight of the Salvation Army Citadel. David Edmonds will speak on “The Seri* ous Crises in North Americaindustrial, racial, unemployment, economic, riots, lawlessness, fear, moral degradation, spirituail poverty, breakdown in family life etc. —and will tell how God is moving amongst His People bringing Revival and Renewal.” There will be opportunity for questions, and cup of tea and fellowship to follow. PERSONAL NOTE: I believe the Holy Spirits is given to the Church. He is working in many wonderful ways in Churches everywhere, and Christians equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit can and are being used to bring renewal within congregations. I personally reject the Pentecostalism which has brought unhealthy expressions and extremes into many prayer and revival groups. We must have integrity to the Word of God and beware of error and fantaticism. DAVID EDMONDS. CHRISTADELPHIAN ADDRESS SUNDAY, 7 P.M.
