L.W.R. BOOM IN EXPORTS
Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd, has secured a substantial opening order of Rugby jerseys for competitive outfits for United States moto-cross riders. Moto-cross riding is a booming American sport among young people with an immediate, market potential of 20,000 jerseys a year. The initial inquiry was directed through the New Zealand Trade Commissioner in San Francisco by a United States motor-cycle accessory company and the sale was concluded as the result of a special visit to the United States.
The United States company became familiar with the New Zealand Rugby jersey through a New York sports store which sells over 2000 New Zealand Rugby jerseys a year for Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd, to clubs in Eastern States.
The company has also successfully established its Rugby and soccer jerseys in Canada, and the States of California and Washington.
