Political Scientist Dead
Mr Clinton Rossiter, a historian and political scientist whose work “The American Presidency” has been translated into 30 languages, was found dead in the basement of his home yesterday. The cause of death was not immediately determined, and a post-mortem examination has been ordered. Mr Rossiter, aged 52, wrote many works on the conservative tradition in the United States and Britain, and won many prizes for his books and articles. —Ithaca (New York), July 12.
