Sir. —That there is some unrest among thinking, mature; secondary pupils bodes well for the future. If their discernment is such that they can pinpoint weaknesses in the “establishment,” by all means let’s have these flung open for all to see. One key Wellington school has five senior physics classes on correspondence, for lack of teachers. Is this country so educationally “broke" that facilities enjoyed in most homes are missing? Study surroundings deserve the very best, and costly facilities have come the way of tertiary education. Let’s start at the grassroots, providing more readers in the primary schools. Maybe then these “rewards from
