“MRS KAIAPOI” WINS
Mrs Margaret Palmer (“Mrs Kaiapoi”) was crowned “Mrs Canterbury” at the PlunketG.H.B. “Mrs New Zealand” contest in Christchurch last evening. She received a silver salver and a grocery voucher to the value of $l3O. She has four children and is interested in old houses, gardening and Highland dancing. She will compete in the national final in Dunedin on September 26. Mrs Anne Francis (“Mrs Temuka”) was second and Mrs Jacquie Banks (“Mrs Timaru”) was third.
