Tavern Request
A second application for town-planning approval for a tavern to be sited at Port Hills Road has been lodged with the Heathcote County Council. Last month, the council gave permission for the Christchurch Wrecking Company to build a tavern at 360 Port Hills Road. The new application, from Associated Taverns, Ltd, is for the use of six acres of; land about a mile away at the * corner of Brabourne Street: and Opawa Road, with a Port j Hills Road frontage.
