Tyre Wire
Scientists in England say they have developed new radial-ply tyre production techniques which permit the use in the tyres of fine steel wire almost as thin as a human hair. The wire is sufficiently fine and flexible to permit the tyres to be built on existing machinery designed to produce textile tyre casings.
