Announcement Soon On Power Station
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 9. The name of the New Zealand engineering firm which will handle the S22m contract for settling in five boilers at the New -Plymouth power station is expected to be announced in about a week.
This is a result of a threeweek visit to New Zealand by representatives of International Combustion, Ltd. Derby, England—the firm which has been awarded the contract but will sub-contract to a New Zealand company for erection of the boilers. A spokesman from International Combustion’s agents in Wellington (Cory-Wright and Salmon, Ltd) said the decision should be known within 10 days.

The Ministry of Works resident engineer on the project (Mr J. H. Williams) said today that j work on this was scheduled to start in June, 1971.
