Rose-Pruning Demonstration

There is no short-cut to obtaining good quality, goodsized, well-coloured roses. They must be given continuous and recurring attention, such as pruning for instance. This is a most important aspect of their culture for they produce their flowers on current season's wood, only It is not a difficult task’ to learn to do it properly but it does take some practice and experience. The. visual means of learning many skills is probably the best and to this end the Canterbury Rose Society conduct an annual pruning demonstration. This will take place this year on Saturday, July 4, at 1.45 p.m. at the following venues: St Andrew’s College, Papanui Road: Windsor House, 47 New Brighton Road: Hillmorton High School, Tankerville Road; Mrs J.
