Poll Her efords Average $339
An average of $339 was obtained for 23 of 25 rising two-year-old Poll Hereford bulls offered at the annual sale of the “Coldstream” stud, Springston, last week. The top price was $6OO, bid by the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association as agent for A. D. Mackenzie, of Wai mate. T. B. Morton, of Hill Top, made a purchase at $550, and W. R. Ensor, of Bullock Creek, bought the third toppriced lot at $5OO. Two sales were made at $475 to the Annavale Trust, of Springfield, and the Southland Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, acting for G. Cruickshanks, of Gore. Buying interest was confined principally to Canterbury districts.
