$780 Raised For Peru Victims
The North Canterbury branch of the Red Cross Society has now received $780.85 in donations for earthquake relief work in Peru.
On Thursday the centre received 19 donations totalling $160.50, including S4O from children at the Kaniere School. Pupils of the Avonhead School have raised $197 29, nearly double the target they set themselves at the beginning of the week The pupils, who inclued many members of the Junior R<”i Cross, arranged several activities at the school On

H During the week a lucky dip, stalls, a putting compe11 tition, a sale of used clothrling, a raffle, a copper trail, il and an art competition were n held.
