UNIVERSITY VACANCIES THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE CHAIR OF BUILDING Applications are invited for appointment for a term ending on December 31, 1975, to the Chair of Building. Applicants are expected to have had considerable experience in the pratice of building or in associated studies. The Faculty of Architecture and Building offers courses leading to the. degrees of Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Building. The first year is common to both as are the subjects of Building Construction and Building Science. Salary: at present $A12,000 per annum. Senior Lecturer:' $7600-230-$8750. Lecturers receive a medical loading of $4OO per annum, senior lecturers $6OO per annum. This appointment will be tenable until December, 1972, but the person appointed will be eligible to apply for any permanent vacancy which may occur in the Department. The salary scale for senior lecturers is $7600-230-$8750, plus a medical loading of $6OO per annum. Salaries are under review at the present time. Appointment will be offered within the scale according to qualifications and experience. The appointee will have the right of limited private practice. Applicants should have a higher degree in surgery and previous practical experience in orthopaedic and traumatic surgery is essential.
