NEW ZEALAND SHAREMARKET MAINTAINS FIRM TONE
The New Zealand sharemarket maintained its firm tone yesterday, in quiet trading. Second-line stocks predominated, and movements were generally small. The overseas list lost ground, in line with overseas markets.

C.F.M. (and its rights), Tasman, L.W.R., and Feltex were other leaders which improved. Wilson, Neill had the largest fall: 15c, to 150 c, in first trading for about a month. New Zealand Refining lost Bc, to 412 c. The overseas list was weak. Comalco lost more ground, and B.H.P. shed 15c, to 1625 c.
