Wellington Cricket
A Hutt Valley proposal towards partial amalgamation of the senior competitions was rejected by the Wellington Cricket Association at a committee meeting this week. The chairman of the W.C.A. (Mr R. A. Vance) said that if any proposal other than straight amalgamation was to be considered, then the motivation and effect of any such proposal would have to be looked at
A statement ratified by the committee listed the objects of any such change, and formed the basis of a letter to the Hutt Valley Cricket Association.
The committee hoped that now amalgamation as a principle had been accepted, other proposals for a total merger would be forthcoming.
