N.Z. Success In Canada
A visiting Canadian professor at the University of Canterbury, in New Zealand for the first time, comes better prepared than most, for one of his colleagues at the University of British Columbia is a Maori professor.
Professor R. Mattessich, at present lecturing in accountancy at the University of Canterbury, yesterday spoke of Professor Watarangi Winiata, who joined the staff of the University of British Columbia in 1967. “He has been a very highly respected member of the commerce faculty since he came to us with his Maori wife and family after finishing his doctorate in the United States,” Professor Mattessich said.
